Advance Axess 5
The fifth generation of our highly popular all round harness has a modern look and is made of new fabrics. The AXESS 5 is now equipped with a polypropylen seatboard in honeycomb construction. Plastic instead of carbon for the seat board allows for more attractive pricing and opens up an even broader target group. Proven features such as the belt geometry, the protector system and the size distribution remain unchanged. Of course, the other details have been refined and optimised.

SAS-TEC SIDE CRASH
As well as the Air-Foam Hybrid-Protector the AXESS 5 has three innovative SAS-TEC* crash and penetration elements to protect the pelvis and spine from impacts. These visco-elastic soft-foam protectors are built into the harness sides and back, and can be removed if required.
The removable Air-Foam Hybrid- Protector is an air protector with an integral skeletal foam framework. It is as compact and light as a conventional airbag, with the vital difference that it becomes fully functional before takeoff, providing the comprehensive protection of a foam device.How does this work? The airbag has pre-moulded PU internal frames. The mutually opposing forces in this framework (while compressed) cause it to take up its correct shape as soon as the harness is released from a paraglider rucksack. This occurs automatically within 60 seconds, and the protector is then fully operational.

Its Air-Foam Hybrid-Protector enables the AXESS 5 to pack down to a small volume in the rucksack. Comparison: full protector volume (left) compressed volume (right).
EASY TO SLIDE IN AND OUT
The Balance-Strap-System makes it easy to slide back into the harness after takeoff, and assume the upright body angle again before landing. As soon as the pilot pulls the knees in after takeoff he will automatically slide back into the harness, without help from the hands. If he stretch the legs out before landing and push the hips forward, he will automatically tip forward into the upright ground running attitude. This Balance-Strap-System enables the pilot to leave his hands on the brakes while near the ground: another safety plus.
LEG STRAP POSITION HOLDER
For comfortable ground handling, the AXESS 5 now has two elastic cords that keep the leg straps in a comfortable position. The cords are stored in a pocket on the side and can be connected to the leg straps with bullet toggles if required (e.g. for ground handling and soaring sessions with touch and go).
SPEED SYSTEM ALREADY INSTALLED
AXESS 5 is delivered with a carbon speedbar system. The speed system runs through the harness via its easy- rolling Ronstan ball bearing pulleys, and is already installed at delivery.
An AXESS 5 footrest/stirrup is available as an optional extra. The footrest is included in the harness certification, and comes with a speedbar tensioner cord.
